The Daytona Regional Chamber of Commerce will host a ribbon-cutting ceremony for Volusia Recovery Alliance at 4 p.m. Friday, Oct. 7, in Unit A at 454 S. Yonge St. in Ormond Beach.

A ribbon-cutting ceremony and celebration will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 11, at Big Kid Toys, which specializes in rental and sales of electric bicycles, at 1333 S. Ridgewood Ave., Daytona Beach.

Volusia Forever accepting land purchase proposals

Volusia Forever is buying and preserving lands that will benefit humans and wildlife for years to come.

Sellers who want their property to be considered for purchase may apply at volusia.org/forever from Oct. 1 to Nov. 15.

Approved by taxpayers in 2000 and 2020, Volusia Forever finances the acquisition and improvement of environmentally sensitive, water resource protection and outdoor recreation lands as well as working forests and farmlands.

PR group focuses on 'Rebranding Strategies'

The Volusia/Flagler Chapter of the Florida Public Relations Association will have Heather Files, executive director of the Halifax Historical Society Museum, as guest speak at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 20, in the Dennis McGee Room at Daytona Beach International Airport, 700 Catalina Drive.

Ms. Files started with the museum in 2020 and will talk about “Rebranding Strategies: Updating Your Company without Losing Your Audience.” Previously she worked in the food service industry, specifically fine dining for many years.

Registration is required by noon, Monday, Oct. 17. Lunch is included in the cost of $30 for members, $40 for non-members, and $15 for students. Walk-ins are accepted for a $5 additional charge. To register or for more information, visit fpravf.org.

The West Volusia Regional Chamber of Commerce AM Connection will meet at 7:30 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 11, in the Center at Deltona, 1640 Dr. Martin Luther King Blvd.
